They are pulling out the big guns on Tuesday night’s episode.
Loyals fans of hit series First Dates Ireland will probably be able to recall Gemma Byrne.
In the show’s second ever episode, she was the person who walked into the restaurant only to realise that she had already been on a date with her match.
Well, she’s coming back and this time, she’s been matched with the former presenter of RTÉ Network 2’s Head 2 Toe – Pat O’Mahony.
Seen as the height of Irish TV at the time, Head 2 Toe was described as a “mix of everything to do with clothes, people, the rag trade in general, personalities, swap shops, the nostalgia scene, people’s private collections, country shopping and dressing and budgets and even problems.”

Now, Pat’s back, but convinced that he is “pretty useless” when it comes to dating. So it’s up to Gemma to tell him otherwise, no matter how awkward things get… fairly quickly.

Will Pat be able to say he is no longer “forever” single? Will Gemma recognise Pat from the TV, but mistakenly think she is familiar with him because they too went on a date at some point in the past?
The possibilities are endless.
