First Dates Ireland is looking for daters over the age of 30 for their latest season

Kate Demolder

This is the sign you’ve been looking for.

The team behind First Dates Ireland is recruiting daters for a new, and this time they’re on the hunt for one age range in particular.

Speaking in a clip released by COCO Television, the production company behind the Irish version of the show, Maitre’D and waitress, Mateo and Alice, have let the general public know about how now could be your time to grace the restaurant.

Alice gently reminds us that the show is lacking in applicants for daters who are over the age of 30, so if you think you know someone who may fit the bill – then this is definitely the sign they’ve been looking for.

With the third season of the hit show winding down, RTÉ2 are taking applications for its fourth season, and they are looking for people who are single and looking for genuine love.

Besides this, the process of applying is fairly simple. Eligible daters must be:

  • Over 18 years of age
  • A permanent legal resident of Ireland
  • Never have been employed by the show’s production company COCO Television or RTÉ, nor can they be sharing a household or a relative of any current/former employer

All applicants must also agree to a series of terms and conditions set out here.

Alternatively, if you’re that bit more camera-shy and would prefer to be a dater featured in the background, you can register your interest here.

Best of luck, and remember those simple rules: be charming, be yourself, dress well and don’t talk about the Cambodian Killing Fields.
