The film, which has been compared to Heat, started filming in October.

Barry Keoghan has been seen riding a dirt bike on an LA beach while filming scenes for the upcoming film, ‘Crime 101’.

The Dublin man is set to star in the crime thriller movie which is already earning comparisons to ’90s classic of the genre Heat.

Starring alongside Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry and Mark Ruffalo, the movie is set to be released next year.

The 32-year-old was seen riding a dirt bike during filming on Wednesday.

This was for some dramatic scenes for the film, in which his character left a shop after a robbery at gun point.

Details about Crime 101 are being kept majorly under wraps, however the plot synopsis for the original story, which shares obvious similarities to the 1995 Michael Mann-directed epic starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, can be read below:

“A string of high-level jewel heists up and down the Pacific Coast Highway has gone unsolved for years, mostly because the perpetrator has lived by a strict code he calls ‘Crime 101’.

“Police attribute the thefts to the Colombian cartels. But Detective Lou Lubesnick’s gut says it’s the work of just one man.

“Now the lone-wolf jewel thief is looking for that fabled final last score and Lou breaks all the rules of Crime 101.”

The film marks a reunion for Keoghan and Layton as they worked together on another heist-focused thriller – 2018’s American Animals. They were also previously announced to be collaborating on a Western about Billy the Kid.

Keoghan already has an absolutely packed schedule of upcoming movies. These include playing Ringo Starr in The Beatles biopics, the Irish thriller Bring Them Down and Hurry Up Tomorrow, which he will co-star in alongside The Weeknd and Jenna Ortega.

The Irish Oscar nominee will also appear in the much-anticipated Peaky Blinders film and in Amo Saddam, where he will play a US solider tasked with guarding Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein during his final days.

He is also expected to reprise his role as The Joker in the upcoming Batman sequel.
