Five great new trailers you might have missed this week

Two big new Disney releases and two brand new Irish comedies are in the mix this week!

We're in the depths of summer, so we've got a lot vying for our attention these days.

Sometimes stuff can fall between the cracks, and there's a chance that some of these trailers for new movies and shows passed you by.

So your pals at JOE are here to bring these to your attention, and introduce you to what could one day be your new favourite film or series!

After the critically-acclaimed In The Heights this summer, we'll see Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Stephanie Beatriz and Pulitzer Prize-winner Lin-Manuel Miranda reunite for Disney's new animated musical adventure, telling the story of a town of people filled with magical powers... except for one woman.

Encanto will arrive in Irish cinemas in November.

Alison Spittle, Tony Cantwell, Tara Flynn, Maeve Higgins and more feature in this surreal comedy about a pizza delivery cyclist (Roxanna Nic Liam) who has her bike stolen, and she makes it her sole purpose in life to find who took it, hopefully before she is evicted from her home.

Bicycle Thieves: Pumped Up is set to have its premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh this month. You can get more info on that right here.

A Most Violent Year co-stars Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac reunite for this re-telling of Ingmar Bergman's classic 1973 story about a marriage slowly falling apart. Expect to see lots and lots of acting nominations hurled at this once awards season kicks into gear.

Scenes From A Marriage is scheduled to arrive on HBO in the States in September, so we should probably get it on NOW over here in October.

The first feature film from the award-winning playwright Philip Doherty, this dark comedy sees a young man return to his hometown to bury his father, only to find himself unable to do so thanks to a weird addition in his father's last will and testament. Stuck with the body until he figures out his next course of action, soon the whole town views him as a curse.

Redemption Of A Rogue will arrive in Irish cinemas later in 2021.

What if Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) saved Tony Stark from that attack at the start of Iron Man? What if it was T'Challa who has kidnapped by the Ravangers at the start of Guardians of the Galaxy, and not Peter Quill? What if Captain America was a zombie??

Those are the big, weird, fun questions being asked by Marvel's new animated show, which will feature Chadwick Boseman's final performance, and will also see the return of Josh Brolin as Thanos, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, and loads and LOADS more.

What If...? will kick off on Disney+ from Wednesday, 11 August.
