Here at JOE HQ we’ve been waiting a long time for this one; it’s the very, very funny first trailer for Seth MacFarlane’s comedy Western, A Million Ways To Die In The West.

Ah, the comedy Western – a genre oft-attempted (Shanghai Noon, Maverick and, prepare yourself, Wild Wild West), but rarely mastered (Blazing Saddles, Three Amigos and, we know we’re pushing it by calling this a comedy, Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid).

MacFarlane, the genius brain behind Family Guy, American Dad, The Cleveland Show and 2012’s hilarious Ted, has made the very ballsy move of putting himself in front of the camera for his latest venture, casting himself as Albert, a cowardly Wild West shepherd who discovers his bravery after a mysterious woman arrives in town (Charlize Theron).

A Million Ways To Die In The West has an incredibly exciting supporting cast including our very own Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried, Giovanni Ribisi, Neil Patrick Harris and the fantastically funny Sarah Silverman.

And, judging by the Red Band trailer below, it looks like MacFarlane’s awesome anachronisitc new film is really going to piss off the Historical Accuracy Police – they’re a real force, believe us.

Enjoy…

It looks great, but can it better a man punching a horse in the face? We doubt it…

A Million Ways To Die In The West is due for release in Irish cinemas on 6 June 2014.
