A night of surprises at the 2019 Oscars.
The 2019 Oscars was the first ceremony in 30 years without a host but that didn't seem to affect proceedings too much as the evening finished with the awards spread around.
Every Best Picture nominee earned at least one trophy, and 15 movies in all earned the 24 awards.
For those with Irish tinted glasses, Olivia Colman won out over heavy favourite Glenn Close for her role in the dark comedy The Favourite,
which is co-produced by Irish company Element Pictures.
And though A Star Is Born didn’t win any of the night’s big prizes, Lady Gaga and the team from A Star Is Born won Best Original Song for 'Shallow'; her performance of the song with Bradley Cooper on the night was all everyone was talking about afterwards.
