Game of Thrones star set to play BRUCE WAYNE on Titans

We can’t say that we saw this coming.

A Game of Thrones star is set to play Bruce Wayne — Batman when he isn’t being Batman — on the second season of  DC Universe’s show Titans.

Now I know what you’re thinking. A broody, strong, action hero? Perfect role for Kit Harington, better known as Jon Snow? Not him.

So maybe you’re thinking hell yeah, time to see Nikolaj Coster-Waldau play the hero we know he was born to be. Not him either.

Alfie Allen? Jason Momoa? Richard Madden? Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

The new identity of the Caped Crusader is none other than Iain Glen, best known for his role as the often sad but very helpful Ser Jorah Mormont, adviser to Daenerys Targaryen.

According to Deadline, Glen has been cast specifically as Bruce Wayne, so there’s no suggestion that we’ll actually see Ser Jorah suited up. Glen himself is 57 now, so it would certainly be a more mature Batman than fans have grown used to.

Here’s the official character description: “After decades of fighting crime as Batman, billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime. Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success.”

Titans is hosted by Netflix in Ireland and the United Kingdom.
