Considering how dangerous the first season felt, that is quite the statement!
We recently wrote about the single greatest hour of action ever made for TV, which arrived during the first season of Gangs of London.
So you can probably understand how excited we are to check out the upcoming second season of the show, which you can enjoy with a NOW Entertainment Membership.
Picking up from the events of the shocking (no spoilers here!) events of the final episode of that first season, every major gang and crime family both in London and around the world has rushed to the city in attempt to fill the sudden power vacuum.
It also doesn't help that an assassin has arrived, looking to upset an already very delicate power balance, so our hero Elliot Finch (Sope Dìrísù) has been sent in to take out the new threat.
In a recent interview, the show's director Corin Hardy (who was also behind some of the fantastic action from the first season) said he wants the second season to be the "most dangerous show on television".
He explained: "What I mean by that is it’s exciting when you’re watching something and you don’t know what the rules are, and you don’t know how far this is gonna go. I think you can get too comfortable watching TV and just knowing week by week, who’s going to do what and who’s going to say what.
"I never want Gangs of London to feel like that, so that’s what I mean. It should feel dangerous, and it should feel dangerous for the characters, and in turn thrilling."
The first two episodes of Gangs of London Season Two will be available to stream with a NOW Entertainment Membership from Thursday, 20 October, with the rest of the season arriving weekly.
