He picked up the EE Rising Star Award and his time on stage meant he was able to reveal a secret that viewers at home don't see.
It turns out that there is countdown that stops winners from spending too long on stage.
He chose to jokingly 'expose' the secret clock during his speech.
Daniel said: "There's a countdown. I wasn't supposed to say that but I’ve said that now."
He added: "We break all the rules. No - levels."
In his heartwarming speech he also thanks his mum for everything she had done for him.
He said: "Mum you're the reason why I started, you're the reason why I'm here and the reason why I keep going - do you understand? This awards is yours. Love, peace, get it."
As you can imagine, people were happy the young British actor had picked up the award.
