Bono and the boys to take root in NBC…

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (pic below) will have U2 for a whole week as their resident band. The week-long stint begins on 17 November and is sure to be a great showcase for the lads as they do some of their new songs from the recently-released ‘Songs of Innocence’ album.

U2 actually featured in the very first episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon back in February 2014, where they performed from the rooftop of Rockefeller Plaza in the centre of New York City. That’s a big building. Wonder did they play Vertigo?

It’s unclear whether they will be appearing on the rooftop again, but being a resident band usually means that they will be in the studio where all of the TV magic happens.

Hat-tip to The Hollywood Reporter.
