We’re heading back to Gilead.
Hit series The Handmaid’s Tale has been confirmed for a 5th series.
The announcement comes just ahead of the premiere of the fourth season on streaming platform Hulu.
Elisabeth Moss, who plays the lead role of Offred said, “I’m thrilled to announce that we have been picked up for season five.
“It’s my privilege and honour to tell this story. It’s gonna be a wild ride.”

Creator and showrunner Bruce Miller said in a statement: “We’re very grateful to Hulu and MGM that the show will be returning for a fifth season, and especially to our loyal fans for their support.
“We are thrilled to be able to continue to tell these stories, with our incredible cast and crew, and can’t wait to be back on the air with season four next year.”
