No plans this weekend? Get down there…
Yes, you read that correctly, there’s a Big Lebowski festival with an Irish twist on in Cork this Saturday, October 8, and you have our permission to get very excited.
Aptly named Feis Lebowski, it’s a celebration of the Coen brother’s cult classic and takes place upstairs in the Roundy on Castle Street, near Argos.
On the night you can expect a screening of the movie, music from DJ El Duderino who will be spinning tunes from the movie and a fancy dress competition with the best character from the movie winning a prize.
Did we mention they’ll be serving the Dude’s favourite drink? White Russians…
Doors open at 8pm with the screening of the movie starting at 9.30pm. The night is all for a good cause with 100% of proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.
Admission is €10 at the door but as capacity is limited it’s best to get there as early as possible to ensure no disappointment.
Sure what else would you be doing on a Saturday night?
