Ideal…
Yes, you read that correctly, there’s a Big Lebowski festival with an Irish twist on in Cork on September 30, and you have our permission to get very excited.
Aptly named Feis Lebowski, it’s a celebration of the Coen brother’s cult classic and takes place upstairs in the Roundy on Castle Street, near Argos.
Now in its third year, you can expect a screening of the movie, music from DJ El Duderino who will be spinning tunes from the movie and a fancy dress competition with the best character from the movie winning a prize.
The more creative, the better…
One more thing, they’ll be serving the Dude’s favourite drink. Yep, White Russians.
They will also be giving away a lot of Big Lebowski prizes in their Lebowski Raffle, with all proceeds from the raffle going to Baby Kate Flynn, a remarkable young Cork girl who cannot breathe on her own due to a unique genetic condition.
Doors open at 8pm and will cost you a paltry €10 to get in and enjoy the Lebowski celebration.
It’s important to arrive early to prevent disappointment as tickets will only be available on the door.
