Hugh Jackman is definitely, absolutely, 100% done with Wolverine, except…

Rory Cashin

After nine outings in the role – which is two more times than Connery played Bond, fact fans! – Jackman is finally hanging up his adamantium claws.

In a role that wasn’t even his to begin with, because Dougray Scott was originally cast before dropping out to do Mission: Impossible 2 instead, Jackman it his own, and its now almost impossible to imagine anyone else in the part.

He’s currently on a worldwide press tour to promote his final outing with Logan, which is getting insanely good reviews and we even said it was something that could forever change the face of superhero movies.

Jackman has consistently said that this would definitely be his last ever time playing the character, but the guys at ScreenRant gave him an inticing hypothetical that even he couldn’t pass up:

“If [an Avengers movie] was on the table when I made my decision, it certainly would have made me pause. That’s for sure. Because I always love the idea of him within that dynamic, with the Hulk obviously.[… ]At the moment, honestly, if I really did have [the Avengers] there, I probably wouldn’t have said this is the last [movie].”

So there you have it.

All we need to do is get Disney, Fox and Marvel in a room and bash this thing out. We want, no, we NEED to see Wolverine and Hulk on the screen together!
