Payback – Turner Classic Movies – 9pm
Mel Gibson plays a man out for, you guessed it… payback.

Anna and the Apocalypse – Horror Channel – 11pm

The Missouri Breaks – Turner Classic Movies – 11.05pm
Jack Nicholson and Marlon Brando star in their first and only movie together with this ’70s western.
This writer first became aware of The Missouri Breaks as it is frequently referenced in last year’s thriller Old.
Brawl in Cell Block 99 – Film4 – 11.25pm
Our pick for tonight sees a bulked-up Vince Vaughn play a former boxer-turned-drug runner sentenced to prison where he is forced to murder a fellow inmate to save his kidnapped wife and unborn child.
With its prison setting and shocking violence (this is really not one for the squeamish), Brawl in Cell Block 99 is at its core an old-school exploitation flick.
However, it also feels like an artful crime epic thanks to novelist turned filmmaker S. Craig Zahler’s ability to build fully-fleshed out characters and Vaughn’s incredible performance, with the actor managing to be scary, sardonic and sympathetic all at once.
Re-Animator – Horror Channel – 12.55am
This legendary comedy-horror centres on a medical student (Jeffrey Combs) who invents a serum that can re-animate deceased bodies and how this impacts his unsuspecting roommate (Bruce Abbott).
