Does your family have what it takes to win the €15,000 cash prize?

Would you consider yourself fit?

Here’s a harder question; would you consider your family fit?

If you’re from the type of family that likes to go on long runs together in the morning, or you’re GAA-mad, you might have already considered entering Ireland’s Fittest Family.

If you have, you’re in luck – the show is about to enter its 10th series, and is looking for a whole new gang of competitors to take part.

Last year saw camogie star Anna Geary coach the Kinsellas from Wexford to victory in a nail-biting finale.

Other coaches include hurling manager and goalkeeping legend Davy Fitzgerald, former Ireland rugby player Donncha O’Callaghan, and former Olympian Derval O’Rourke.

The show describes itself as “Ireland’s most extreme fitness competition”, and anyone who has watched before can see why.

But don’t expect what you’ve seen in the past as the competition is set to “be more challenging than ever before”.

If you do, however, manage to make it to the end, there is a €15,000 cash prize waiting for you, along with the bragging rights of officially being Ireland’s Fittest Family.

If you’re thinking of applying, here are the following requirements you need to consider:

  • The minimum age of a contestant is 14 years old by 1 July, 2022.
  • Each family that applies must be comprised of four immediate members.
  • The series will be filmed between July and September of 2022, so be sure you haven’t booked your holidays around then.
  • The decision of the production team in terms of casting is final.

If you think you have what it takes, applications are open as of now (4 May).

The deadline for entry is at midnight on 20 June, so start working on your application soon.

More information and the link for an application form can be found at the Ireland’s Fittest Family website.
