It: Chapter Two leaked pics show Bill Skarsgard completely transformed as Pennywise

Photos have been leaked on set for It: Chapter Two, as Stephen King fans eagerly await the release of the trailer for the most hyped film of 2019.

Bill Skarsgård will be making a return for the second part of the horror series It, it has been confirmed.

In a hauntingly eerie photo, Pennywise is seen on the shoulder of a giant, uncanny statue of a baseball lumberjack.

The statue is from Derry, Maine – a recreation from King’s hometown of Bangor, Maine.

It: Chapter One proved to be a theatrical success, with box-office records of $117.2m during its opening weekend alone.

The film was credited with re-inventing the horror genre – adding a sense of intelligence to the naturally unrealistic genre. The lack of ghost-nuns and the addition of a metamorphosing clown that lusts over the blood of children are to praise for that. It was bound to be a sell-out.

However, the phenomenal performance of the child-actors and the hard-to-guess storyline also played a big part.

The plot of the second film goes a little like this: Now fully grown, the members of The Loser’s Club have moved away from Derry and on from the horror of a clown-killing childhood. Though mentally scarred, they are getting on with their lives. Some are married and some are invested in their careers.

But of course, this isn’t a fairytale film, and it wouldn’t be It without the return of Pennywise to have a bit of fun.

And this time, she returns with a vengeance; after all, the end of It: Chapter One has left a bitter taste in his mouth.

The director, Andres Muschietti, has confirmed that the film will mould the old with the new as the cast will “have to retrieve those memories from the summer of 1989, and that’s how we jump back to 1989”.

“The keys to defeating to Pennywise are left in the past, and as adults, they don’t remember,” he said.

The main cast also includes James McAvoy as Bill, Bill Hader as Richie, Jay Ryan as Ben and James Ransone as Eddie, with Andy Bean as Stanley Uris, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike, Teach Grant as Bill’s wife, Xavier Dolan as Adrian Mellon, Will Beinbrink as Tom Rogan and, of course, the return of Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise.

Photos of the cast confirm the child actors will also play a part as we take a trip down memory lane.
