The Game of Thrones star is receiving treatment for “personal reasons”.
Page Six has reported that 32-year-old Kit Harington has checked into a wellness retreat for stress and alcohol use.
It is believed that the British actor arrived at the centre weeks before the finale of Game of Thrones aired.
A representative for the actor said in a statement:
“Kit has decided to utilise this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.”
The ending of the show is said to have “really hit him hard”.
Harington has worked on the series for almost 10 years, starting filming when he was 23 years of age.
The recently aired Game of Thrones documentary entitled The Last Watch, showed an emotional scene that saw Harington bid farewell to his co-stars on the hit show.
“I feel like my heart is breaking. I love this show, more than, I think, anything,” he said.
“It has never been a job for me. It’s been my life, and this will always be the greatest thing I’ll ever do and be a part of.
“And you have been, just, my family. I love you for it, and thanks so much.”
