RTÉ is opening applications for a new series audience.
The wait is officially over – The Late Late Show audience is officially making its grand return for the new series in September, but new changes are coming along with it.
RTÉ posted on their website that they would open the ticket application service again but only for those who have been fully vaccinated.
People over 80 were allowed join Ryan Tubridy in the studio audience in April, but only a handful were in the studio. This will be the first time since before the pandemic that it will see a full audience return.
Tickets will be available from September for the new batch of episodes set to air, and those looking to be in with a chance of being in the audience will have to prove they have gotten the jab.
The website says: “The Late Late Show is looking forward to welcoming our studio audience back when it is safe to do so. We are hoping that will happen during our upcoming season, which begins in September.”
“At present for the Health and Safety of RTÉ staff and crew working on our live programmes, we are only accepting applications from people who will be fully vaccinated at the time of broadcast.”
“Proof of vaccination will be required for admission to TV Studios.”
“You must be over-18 to apply. RTÉ reserve the right of admission. Tickets are strictly non-transferable.”
And just like normal, you’ll have to fill out the form on site telling RTE all your extraordinary stories, your dream Late Late guests and everything in between.
The latest series of The Late Late Show wrapped up last Friday, giving Ryan a break from our screens for the summer until his return in September.
