In conversation this week…

It’s that time of the week where we reveal the bill for your undisputed favourite television show of all time – The Late Late Show.

Exciting.

As ever, Ryan Tubrdy will be joined by an eclectic cast of characters.

Very much used to ‘main attraction’ status, global superstar crooner Michael Bublé will perform brand new music live in studio.

The Canadian hit-maker and noted Christmas fanatic will chat about working with his musical heroes Paul McCartney and Willie Nelson on his new album, and why he just might quit music for TikTok.

We suspect that last bit is a ‘hilarious’ gag. The man sells millions, after all.

Closer to home, Siobhán McSweeney of Derry Girls fame will join Tubridy to discuss returning home to Cork to film her new TV show, how she wound up in a nursing home after breaking her leg, and making “saucy candlesticks” during lockdown, whatever they are.

Ahead of making his journey to the top of Croagh Patrick, Irish boxing hero Barry McGuigan will talk about dedicating his climb to not only Charlie Bird and Vicky Phelan, but to his late daughter Nika.

McGuigan will also look to raise money for suicide and self-harm prevention charity Pieta House, and will speak about what it was like taking part in the Olympics in Moscow in 1980.

The aforementioned Charlie Bird will once more receive focus with his Climb For Charlie event due to take place this weekend.

The Late Late Show will go live to Westport to check in on the beloved former RTÉ man, his family, supporters and friends who are going the extra mile in the name of charity.

Daniel O’Donnell, Roz Purcell, Matt Molloy, George Lee, and Joanna Donnelly are expected to feature as part of the trek.

In addition, Michael English will perform a song written entirely in support of the climb.
