Late Late Show line up January 2022

It’s back!

Are you not entertained?

The Late Late Show is back this Friday night, with host Ryan Tubridy raring to go once again.

Joining the presenter this week…

Charlie Bird returns following a highly emotional appearance on the show in December that resulted in a huge outpouring of support from viewers nationwide.

The former RTÉ broadcaster will be present alongside a cast of willing volunteers to launch the inaugural ‘Climb with Charlie’ event, with Bird having recently pledged to climb Croagh Patrick.

Bird, along with Vicky Phelan, hopes to inspire thousands of people to climb the mountain and other peaks in Ireland or worldwide on Saturday, 2 April.

Bird and Phelan will run through the details of the event, while there will also be contributions from former President of Ireland Mary McAleese, Davy Fitzgerald, Baz Ashmawy, Joanna Donnelly, Dr Harry Barry, Dermot Bannon and Karl Henry.

Elsewhere on Friday’s episode, Leitrim actor and writer Seamus O’Rourke will give his take on the endless ‘new year, new me’ craze, and comedian Jason Byrne will do his rapid-fire funnyman thing.

Music on the night comes in the form of a Beatles tribute, with performances scheduled from Niamh Farrell and Somebody’s Child.

There’s also the tantalising tease of Ryan Tubridy taking a look inside Bosco’s box.

Can you handle it? Tune in to RTÉ One on Friday (7 January) at 9.35pm if so…
