Late Late Show Valentine's Day

Love is in the air tonight.

Cast your mind back to this time last year.

The 2018 Valentine’s Day special of The Late Late Show was truly something to be remembered. Remind yourself of it right here.

Well, it looks like the 2019 edition might be even better!

The line-up of guests alone is pretty fantastic, from actor/director Kenneth Branagh (Murder On The Orient Express, Thor), to loved-up celebrity couple Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews, who will be discussing how they met on a reality TV show a few years back and how their lives have changed since then.

There’ll also be musical guests Whigfield (the singer behind iconic dance-floor filler ‘Saturday Night’), as well as the incomparable Mickey Joe Harte.

On top of that, there will also be a special performance by comedy duo Lords Of Strut, who you might recognise from Britian’s Got Talent, or the amazing Riot! show that toured Ireland last year (and will do again this year).

And that is without mentioning the fact that this week’s episode is looking for Ireland’s “Greatest Romance Of All”, as Ryan will be chatting to some couples about how they overcame the odds to find and stay with their soulmates. Yep, we’re stocking up on the crying tissues already.

Ryan will also be organising audience games to help the 200 singletons in the audience to find love, and there is a €20,000 cash prize for the viewers at home.

Yep, this is an absolute must-watch.

The Late Late Show Valentine’s Day Special will be on RTÉ One on Friday 8 February from 9.35pm.
