“I wouldn’t make it out of this building if I told you.” Liam Cunningham reveals secrecy over Game of Thrones finale

“Loose lips sink ships.”

Even though there’s still a year to wait and see what happens, it’s hard to think of a finale of a TV show that has attracted more hype and speculation than Game of Thrones.

With that in mind, it nearly seems unfair that the cast already know how it’s going to end, considering that they’re going to be asked about it repeatedly until we’ve all seen it for ourselves.

Whatever hints we get about what’s going to happen in Season 8 certainly won’t be coming from Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), who revealed the level of secrecy surrounding the finale from those involved in the show on the Late Late Show on Friday night.

Cunningham will, of course, be leading the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin and while on to chat to Ryan about that honour, he gave an insight into the levels producers are going to in an effort to ensure it remains a secret.

So secretive is the process, in fact, that Cunningham himself couldn’t even open the script…

Just as Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) did in a recent appearance on US TV, Cunningham revealed he knows how it’s all going to end, but despite Ryan’s attempts to draw out some details, there wasn’t a hope in hell that he was about to let the whole thing slip.

The cast have done a good job of keeping things under wraps so far, but will they remain tight-lipped until it goes on air next year?

That’s a hell of a long time to have to keep a secret as big as this…
