Her role is still being kept secret for now.
Linda Hamilton, who starred as Sarah Connor in the Terminator franchise, has announced that she has joined the cast of the upcoming fifth season of Stranger Things.
The Golden Globe nominated actress’ casting was announced at the Netflix Tudum event in Sao Paolo, Brazil over the weekend. Her role has remained under wraps. In a video aired at the event, Hamilton said:
“I am so excited to share this news with you. I’m joining the cast for Stranger Things 5. I don’t know how to be a fangirl and an actress at the same time. I’m gonna work on that… I’ll see you in Hawkins.”
Best known for starring as the woman the terminator is programmed to kill in the 1984 hit movie. She reprised her role for the sequel and then again in 2019 for Terminator: Dark Fate.

Stranger Things’ fifth season will be the final outing for the hit Netflix sci-fi series. At the beginning of May, just after the WGA writers strike, Stranger Things creators, the Duffer Brothers, announced that production on the final season was halted.
“Duffers here. Writing does not stop when filming begins. While we’re excited to start production with our amazing cast and crew, it is not possible during this strike. We hope a fair deal is reached soon so we can all get back to work. Until then — over and out.”
While supposed to be releasing in 2024, that window is now in jeopardy.
