Staying in?

There’s plenty for you to sink your teeth into as the The Late Late Show returns for the second show of the new year.

The episode will honour legendary Irish actress Brenda Fricker for a career which spanned 60 years in Hollywood in a variety of roles.

Fricker will be in studio to discuss her illustrious career, including winning an Oscar for her role in My Left Foot, 30 years on from its release.

During Friday’s show, Ryan and other guests will also pay tribute to Larry Gogan, who sadly passed away this week.

Celebrity chef Richard Corrigan will be on the couch to discuss fast food, Brexit and why he thinks vegans are wrong about Irish farming.

Becky Loftus Dore will speak to Ryan about her experience of being a surrogate mother for two friends who had struggled to conceive.

There will also be a showcase from some of the best and brightest at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition, who will give a rundown of their projects. The newly crowned winner will also be in attendance.

Kodaline will be in the Late Late studio for a performance of their new single, ‘Wherever You Are’ and there will also be music from Stockton’s Wing as they treat the audience and viewers at home to their popular song, ‘Beautiful Affair’.
