We’d love to see this.

Ever since Matthew McConaughey’s unbelievable return to form as Rust Cohle in the first season of True Detective, we’re happy to see him in pretty much anything.

According to We Got This Covered, a US movie website that has had solid sources on much of the Batman casting so far, McConaughey is being considered for the role of Harvey Dent aka Two-Face.

Fans of previous Batman movies will remember that the role was played perfectly by Aaron Eckhart in The Dark Knight, as the secondary villain to Heath Ledger’s Joker. However, the report also says that the character would only feature as Harvey Dent in the first film, with his Two-Face persona being saved for a potential sequel.

The cast of villains is growing at a rapid pace, with Zoe Kravitz cast as Catwoman and Paul Dano cast as The Riddler. The Penguin is also expected to feature in the film, as its been well-established that Jonah Hill passed on the role.

Robert Pattinson is set to play the caped crusader, and the incorruptible Commission Jim Gordon will be played by Westworld’s Jeffrey Wright.

Things are already looking good for the latest Batman reboot, which will be directed by Matt Reeves and is set to hit cinemas in 2021. If McConaughey joins the cast, expectations will go through the roof.
