Michael Bay

Maybe you like Michael Bay’s movies, maybe you don’t, but however you feel, you cannot deny that he is the master of product placement.

And when we say ‘the master’, we mean Michael Bay does not give two hoots about preserving the integrity of his movies when it comes to advertising other people’s stuff.

Product placement is just a part of entertainment. It costs a lot of money to make a movie, so if you can partially fund it by including a can of Coke or a Big Mac here and there, so what?

But Michael Bay is another matter. His films are divisive – some people love the Transformers movies, The Rock, Bad Boys and of course Bad Boys II, but equally some people absolutely hate them.

One thing we can all agree on is that there is a shitload of product placement in his movies.

This video, put together by ScreenCrush, combs through all the product placement in Bay’s back catalogue and highlights them for us. Some are subtle, some are bigger and more glaring than the sun, but they’re all in there.
