Do you ever feel like you’re being followed?

The hottest weekend of the year is well and truly underway.

Melting ice creams, sore necks, and ice packs are on the cards for everyone as they try and deal with the warm summer sun.

You could very well be needing some respite, however, and looking for a bit of shade.

Well, lo and behold, there’s a load of films on the telly, so you can just stay in and avoid the burn at all costs.

Here’s JOE’s top picks for the best movies on television this Sunday (10 July).

Mrs Doubtfire – E4 – 6.35pm

Robin Williams can do no wrong.

Ghostbusters – ITV4 – 8pm

Who ya gonna call?

Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me – Comedy Central – 9pm

The second, groovy, one.

Daddy’s Home 2 – E4 – 9pm

2 Daddy 2 Home.

A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood – RTÉ One – 9.30pm

Tom Hanks was nominated for an Oscar for his turn as soft-spoken American icon Mr Rogers.

Louis Theroux: My Scientology Movie – W – 10pm

Our top pick tonight is an unforgettable documentary from one of the kings of the game, Louis Theroux.

The journalist sets out to tell stories of reported incidents from within Scientology, and hires actors to recreate the scenes and audition in front of a prominent former member.

Soon after, however, lawyers letters, cars with tinted windows, and anonymous camera crews start stalking Theroux and his team…

A very freaky documentary, but Theroux knocks it out of the park, as per usual. A must watch.

Assassins – ITV4 – 10.10pm

The first film from the Wachowski sisters pits Sylvester Stallone and Antonio Banderas against each other in a pretty decent action flick.

Thelma and Louise – BBC One – 10.30pm

A road trip like no other.

Olga – Channel 4 – 12.55am

One of the nightbirds – a powerful drama surrounding a young Ukrainian gymnast in Switzerland while revolution brews at home.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
