Nobody beats him in the kitchen.

It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means.

It means more great films on the telly.

Netflix has revealed plans to bring in a cheaper subscription model, but with ads.

But with TV, you can already have that experience for free.

Here are JOE’s top picks for films on the small screen this Wednesday (20 April).

Zombeavers – Horror Channel – 9pm

Worth watching for the name alone.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies – Film4 – 9pm

The third one, or the sixth one, depending on who you ask.

Lethal Weapon 2 – Turner Classic Movies – 9pm

You’ll never hear the phrase “diplomatic immunity” the same way again.

Under Siege – ITV4 – 9pm

Our top pick for tonight is a classic action thriller from the ’90s, and you can tell.

Steven Seagal is a Navy SEAL-turned-chef (what?) who is forced to defend a battleship from terrorists looking to steal nuclear weaponry, alongside a real-life Playboy cover girl (Erika Eleniak).

Some brilliant performances from the villains (Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey), and it is still the only Seagal movie to be nominated for an Oscar. Worth the watch.

Fighting – Turner Classic Movies – 11.25pm

Channing Tatum stars in this rags-to-riches drama about bare knuckle boxing.

Thunder Road – Film4 – 12am

An underrated comedy-drama which started from a Kickstarter campaign.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
