The King of (Buddy) Comedy.

It’s been a long week, but we’re already nearly done with the month of May.

The sooner we get warmer weather, the better.

But until then, and while we wait for the rain to subside, it’s time to settle in for another night of great films.

Here are JOE’s top picks for the movies on TV this Sunday (22 May).

Octopussy – RTÉ Two – 6.05pm

Roger Moore’s sixth outing as 007.

The Addams Family – Film4 – 7pm

A cult classic comedy based on the TV series.

The Proposal – ITV2 – 7.25pm

Another entry in the great romantic comedy boom of the late 2000s.

Atomic Blonde – E4 – 9pm

An action film starring Charlize Theron made by one of the directors of John Wick. What more do you need?

I Love You, Man – Comedy Central – 9pm

The film that gave unintentionally gave us one of the best interpretations of the Cork accent in movie history.

Jaws 3 – ITV4 – 9pm

A sequel with none of the bite of the original.

Fighting With My Family – Film4 – 9pm

Easily the best film WWE Studios has ever made (and yes, that includes The Condemned).

Hustlers – RTÉ One – 9.30pm

Every heist film would be improved 100% with the addition of Lizzo.

Passenger 57 – Turner Classic Movies – 11.05pm

Wesley Snipes stops a hijacking.

Midnight Run – Film4 – 11.15pm

Our top pick for tonight is the buddy comedy that wrote the blueprint for the rest of them.

Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin star as the odd couple stuck together, and the comedic chemistry is off the charts.

A real good time for all involved, including the viewer. Give it a watch.

Iron Sky – Horror Channel – 12.10am

One of those “so bad it’s good” kind of films with an insane premise.

Dogman – Channel 4 – 1.40am

An excellent Italian crime drama for the night owls.
