Jim Carrey’s best film is among the movies on TV tonight

Hugh Carr

Netflix

We’re not crying, you’re crying.

It’s Monday.

You know what that means.

It means kicking back after your first day back after the weekend and enjoying a good movie.

Amazon Prime Video has just added some big movies if you fancy streaming something tonight.

But if you’re more of the satellite type, then look no further.

Here’s JOE’s picks for the top films on the small screen on Monday (7 March).

The Cable Guy – Sony Movie Channel – 7.05pm

The film that nearly ended Jim Carrey’s career…

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind – Sony Movie Channel – 9pm

…and his finest.

Our top pick tonight is a brilliant sci-fi romance starring Carrey and Kate Winslet as the two leads.

If you could remove all memories about a person from your mind, would you?

We promise you may have a tear in your eye by the end of this one. Well worth a watch, every time.

2012 – Film4 – 9pm

If your kids ask, this is a documentary, and that you drove away from an earthquake too.

Kill the Irishman – TG4 – 9.30pm

The true story of Danny Greene, a New York mobster that just couldn’t be killed.

Maximum Conviction – ITV4 – 10.45pm

If you like seeing “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Steven Seagal in a schlocky action movie, gimme a hell yeah.

Dirty Harry – Turner Classic Movies – 10.45pm

A film that finally answers the age-old question; was it five shots, or six?

The Children – Horror Channel – 11.10pm

Killer children. Yep, that’s it. That’s the whole film.

Ninjababy – Film4 – 12.50am

Unfortunately not a part of the BBCU (Boss Baby Cinematic Universe), just a lovely Norwegian dramedy about a woman who unexpectedly gets pregnant.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
