The House of the Devil - Horror Channel - 10.55pm
Our pick for tonight follows a young college student (Jocelin Donahue) in the '80s who finds herself in a dangerous situation after being hired as a babysitter by an elderly couple.
The breakthrough film from writer-director Ti West - whose slasher X this year earned rave reviews - The House of the Devil starts slow before gradually ratcheting up the tension, eventually escalating to a truly nail-biting finale.
Also, on top of featuring an early onscreen turn by Greta Gerwig, the movie looks incredible - with West shooting the film on retro equipment and deploying cinematic flourishes more popular in the '70s and '80s to better capture the vibes of the era.
