It's Friday.

And that usually means a decent amount of heavy-hitters on the box. Granted, that's not an exact science. Nonetheless, let's put the theory to the test. Here's what we have for you on Friday, 19 November...

Fantastic Four – Film4 – 7.05pm

A notably disastrous reboot but not entirely without value.

Saving Private Ryan – Virgin Media One – 9pm

Our main choice on this cold Friday night. Classic war film in which Tom Hanks leads a bruised battalion in search of Matt Damon's missing soldier.

Unforgiven – Turner Classic Movies / TCM – 9pm

I'm pretty sure TCM show this film 52 times a year.

Final Destination 2 – Comedy Central – 9pm

Famous comedy movie Final Destination 2, there.

A Vigilante – Film4 – 9pm

Olivia Wilde IS a vigilante.

Assassin's Creed – E4 – 9pm

Michael Fassbender attempts a video game adaptation.

A Fistful of Dynamite – TG4 – 9.05pm

It isn't Friday night without a vintage western courtesy of TG4.

Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates – RTÉ 2 – 10.20pm

Let's hope the wedding bash ends just before midnight, wha?

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation – Film4 – 10.50pm

The fifth one.

Unbroken – TCM – 11.45pm

Angelina Jolie directs Jack O'Connell and Domnhall Gleeson in a tense World War II drama.

A Fish Called Wanda – BBC One – 12.25am

Well-regarded slapstick comedy in which a gullible barrister is seduced by a thief in what turns out to be the first of several double-crosses. Jamie Lee Curtis, John Cleese, Kevin Kline and Michael Palin star.
