A very tense heist thriller is among the movies on TV tonight

Fans of Den of Thieves, Heat and Widows will probably enjoy this.

Staying in this Saturday night?

Well, there are plenty of viewing options on offer, including Netflix's new addition That '90s Show, a sort-of-sequel to That '70s Show.

As well as this, Netflix also recently added one of the best sci-fi movies of recent years to its service, while Amazon added one of the best war films of recent years to Prime Video.

However, if none of these are for you, here are the movies airing on TV tonight.

The Dark Knight Rises - Sky Showcase - 9pm

Tom Hardy steals the show as the masked villain Bane in this final part of The Dark Knight trilogy.

Scary Movie 3 - Comedy Central - 9pm

The hit horror spoof franchise parodies Signs, The Ring and weirdly 8 Mile in this fun entry.

Red Sparrow - Film4 - 9pm

Jennifer Lawrence is a Russian spy in this dark, moody if stylish thriller.

Infinite - Channel 4 - 9pm

This 2021 sci-fi action flick starring Mark Wahlberg has a low 17% on Rotten Tomatoes, which means you may want to avoid it.

Braveheart - RTÉ2 - 9.10pm

Mel Gibson directs and stars in this classic historical epic and Oscar Best Picture winner.

Ghost Ship - MTV - 10.15pm

In this supernatural horror featuring Gabriel Byrne, a marine salvage crew gets more than they bargained for when they discover a mysterious ocean liner that disappeared decades earlier.

Woody Harrelson in our pick for tonight - Triple 9

Jackass 2.5 - Comedy Central - 10.35pm

The Jackass crew reunite to discuss their experiences with Jackass Number Two and show off some unused content and ideas.

Re-Animator - Horror Channel - 11pm

This legendary comedy-horror centres on a medical student (Jeffrey Combs) who invents a serum that can re-animate deceased bodies and how this impacts his unsuspecting roommate (Bruce Abbott).

Triple 9 - Channel 4 - 11.05pm

Our pick for tonight is this 2016 movie about a gang of criminals (Aaron Paul, Chiwetel Ejiofor) and corrupt cops (Anthony Mackie, Clifton Collins Jr.) in Atlanta who plan the murder of a police officer (Casey Affleck) in order to pull off their biggest heist yet across town.

Directed by John Hillcoat (The Proposition, The Road), Triple 9 has a pleasantly twisty screenplay, along with enough grit and visceral action set-pieces to appeal to fans of other similar-in-tone heist films like Den of Thieves or Heat.

It features an incredible ensemble cast too, which also includes Gal Gadot, Kate Winslet, Michael K. Williams, Norman Reedus and Woody Harrelson.

High Fidelity - TG4 - 11.05pm

"What came first, the music or the misery?"

The Perfect Storm - Turner Classic Movies - 11.10pm

A biographical disaster drama starring George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg.

The Adjustment Bureau - RTÉ One - 11.30pm

In this fun sci-fi romance, the affair between a politician (Matt Damon) and a contemporary dancer (Emily Blunt) is affected by mysterious forces keeping the lovers apart.

Berberian Sound Studio - Film4 - 11.45pm

This excellent psychological horror revolves around a British sound engineer (the great Toby Jones) working on a '70s Italian film.

The Railway Man - BBC One - 11.50pm

This drama sees Colin Firth play a man determined to track down the person who tortured him during World War II.
