Netflix quietly adds 12 huge movies to its library

Happy days for all you Netflix subscribers!

Loads of new additions on Netflix to enjoy this weekend, including the brand new horror series that debuted with 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. But if you’re in more of a movie mood, the following dozen films have been added to the Netflix library this week:

A JOURNAL FOR JORDAN
Denzel Washington directs and Michael B. Jordan stars in this drama about a father away at war, but who constantly writes a memoir for his newborn son while he’s away.

BLUE BAYOU
Written by, directed by and starring Justin Chon as a Korean adoptee who discovers, decades later, while he’s with the love of his life and adopted child of his own, he could be deported from America. A very decent drama.

THE CONFERENCE
This Netflix exclusive horror is set around a corporate retreat that turns into a bloody nightmare once its revealed there is a killer in the employee’s midsts.

FAIR PLAY
Another Netflix exclusive, this time focusing on the demolition of a relationship between two people (Alden Ehrenreich and Phoebe Dynevor) when one of them suddenly gets a much-desired promotion.

IN THE HEIGHTS
A musical romantic drama about the residents of a neighbourhood and their lottery-winning fantasies.

THE MERCY
Colin Firth and Rachel Weisz star in this true-life drama about a disastorous attempt to sail around the world as part of a competition, and the subsequent attempts to cover up the failure.

NINE DAYS
Winston Duke (Black Panther, Get Out) headlines this fantasy drama about a man who interviews five unborn souls to figure out which of them deserves to be born on Earth.

OUR KIND OF TRAITOR
A fantastic cast – Ewan McGregor, Stellan Skarsgard, Naomie Harris, Damian Lewis – feature in this tense spy thriller about a couple who go on holiday and find themselves caught up in the personal life of a mob boss.

SPY KIDS
If you’re looking for something to entertain the younger viewers at home, the original entry in this franchise, as well as Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams and Sky Kids 3: Game Over, have been added to Netflix this week.
