Loads of new additions to Netflix for you to enjoy this week!

Earlier this week, Prime Video added 27 new movies to its library, so between those and these Netflix additions, you’ve got plenty to choose from for your viewing pleasure, staring with…

BLACK SEA

Jude Law headlines this decent thriller about a crew attempting to track down a sunken Nazi U-boat believed to be filled with gold.

BRIDESMAIDS

One of the best comedies of the last two decades, about a woman (Kristen Wiig) trying and mostly failing to get her life in order after she loses her dream job.

DON’T BE A MENACE TO SOUTH CENTRAL WHILE DRINKING YOUR JUICE IN THE HOOD

The Wayans star in this 1996 comedy that you probably can already tell if you love or hate from the title alone.

HANNIBAL

Anthony Hopkins’ second time as the infamous cannibal sees him mostly gallivanting around Italy, with Agent Starling (this time played by Julianne Moore) in hot pursuit.

HOSTEL PART III

Another entry in the “Fun holiday turns into dismemberment party” franchise, with a shockingly high 67% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

KNIGHT & DAY

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz star in this entertaining action comedy about a world class spy and the innocent civilian who gets caught up in his life.

LOVE & OTHER DRUGS

An odd romantic comedy drama based on the relationship between a pharmaceutical representative (Jake Gyllenhaal) and a terminally ill woman (Anne Hathaway).

OCTOBER SKY

Jake Gyllenhaal again, this time in one of his very first roles, as a young boy who dreams of building a rocket that can make it into space, despite his father (Chris Cooper) undercutting him at every turn.

OFFICIAL COMPETITION

One of the best comedies of the decade so far.

OVER THE HEDGE

Bruce Willis, Steve Carrell, Avril Lavigne, William Shatner and LOADS more provide their voices to this really funny animated comedy about a group of animals who discover their forest home is about to be cut down.

PATCH ADAMS

Robin Williams’ infamous dud, about a doctor who tries to treat his patients with humour as well as medicine.

PITCH PERFECT 3

The one where it suddenly becomes about (checks notes) international money smuggling? No, that can’t be right, can it?

ROBIN HOOD

The 2010 version which had the Gladiator team of Russell Crowe and director Ridley Scott team-up for another historical epic, except this one is actually kinda boring.

SHE’S THE MAN

A loose adaptation of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, with Amanda Bynes pretending to be a boy so she can play on the soccer team, only to start falling for one of her fellow players (Channing Tatum).

SONGBIRD

One of the worst things created due to the pandemic.

A TIME TO KILL

Filled with great performances from Matthew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock, Samuel L. Jackson and more, this legal thriller still feels brilliant to this day.

YOUR PLACE OR MINE

One of Netflix’s original entries, with Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher doing a rom-com mash-up of The Holiday, My Best Friend’s Wedding, Sleepless In Seattle and No Strings Attached, except not as funny or romantic as any of those.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
