Only Murders in the Building is heading across the Atlantic for its next season, and the Emmy-winning comedy has already revealed a major new addition to its cast.
Oscar winner Olivia Colman has officially joined the series as it prepares to move its story from New York to London for the first time.
The news was announced through a playful video shared on the show's official Instagram account on Tuesday, featuring Selena Gomez, Meryl Streep and Martin Short.
In the clip, Gomez jokes about the number of impressive guest stars appearing in the London storyline before Streep points out that there is still one person missing. Colman then suddenly appears alongside them in costume, smiling before giving a small curtsy to the camera.
The upcoming sixth season will take the story out of New York and into London, where the trio will find themselves investigating the death of Cinda Canning, Tina Fey’s character.
Once the new episodes arrive, Irish viewers will be able to watch them alongside all five previous seasons on Disney+.
And Colman is far from the only big British name joining the show. The sixth season has brought together a seriously impressive line-up, including David Tennant, Nicola Coughlan, Martin Freeman, Sharon Horgan, Jodie Whittaker, Richard Ayoade, Peter Capaldi, Jennifer Saunders, Simone Ashley, Jim Broadbent, Geri Halliwell and Jamie Demetriou, with several other familiar faces also set to appear.

Colman has become one of Britain’s most recognisable actors, with an extensive list of film and TV credits including The Favourite, The Crown, Broadchurch and Peep Show. Irish viewers may have also spotted her in more recent projects such as the crime drama Accused, alongside Stephen Graham, and Wicked Little Letters.
