It's Monday all over again. The weekend's been and gone and here we are, back to square one.
But don't fear - as tonight we've got one of the greatest western's of recent years to feast your eyes on as you stroll forwards into the week.
Our pick for tonight is True History of the Kelly Gang which is on Film4 at 11.35pm.
The 2019 film based on the 2000 novel of the same name is a highly-fictionalised account of the life of the OG bushrangler and outlaw, Ned Kelly.
Starring George MacKay, Essie David, Nicholas Hoult, Charlie Hunnam, and Russell Crowe, the movie hold a fairly solid 80% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Boasting beautifully stark cinematography, an electrifying punk soundtrack and lots of gritty action set-pieces, True History of the Kelly Gang is a hard-hitting, visceral and at times, delightfully weird account of Kelly and his gang’s activities.
But that's not all, there's also a number of other top films on tonight to keep your eyes satiated.
The Devil Wears Prada - Film4 - 6.50pm
Andy Sachs, a would-be journalist from Ohio, lands a job as assistant to the assistant of Miranda Priestly. Iconic.
Van Helsing - ITV4 - 9pm
Dracula 2.0. An instant classic from 2004.
Smokey and the Bandit III - Legend Xtra - 11.30pm
Big Enos and Little Enos have opened a seafood restaurant but Jackie Gleason is on their tail. Did it get favourable reviews? Absolutely not. But is it worth sticking on in the background if you've nothing else to do? Probably!
Atonement - BBC One - 00.00
An absolute masterclass of a movie here set before and during World War Two. Beginning in 1935, a young girl sits at her window writing stories about what she sees outside. When drama doesn't occur, she creates a vivid tale which sends a young man to prison and eventually to war.
A great Cillian Murphy thriller movie is on TV tonight
The Oscar-winner has said he ‘doesn’t think it’s a good movie’. We disagree. Our TV movie pick for tonight (Wednesday, 15 September), is Red Eye the excellent 2005 thriller from legendary director Wes Craven (Scream) that stars Oscar-winner Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer). In the film, Oscar-nominee Rachel McAdams (Spotlight) plays Lisa, a hotel manager waiting to […]
