Tommy Shelby’s final rodeo could be just a matter of months away…

The creator of Peaky Blinders has revealed when he thinks we can expect to see the show’s sixth – and final – series hit our screens.

The sixth season of the hit BBC drama will be the last one for the show – and speaking during a panel at the BFI London Film Festival, show creator Steven Knight said its release should be sometime between March and May next year.

He also said that the final series had been completely shot and that editing was in its final stages.

Knight went on to provide more detail about the Peaky Blinders feature film which will follow the conclusion of the TV series.

According to Variety, the writer said: “And then I am going to write the feature which will be set in and shot in Birmingham.”

But he revealed that this would then be the end of the Peaky Blinders story, saying: “And that will probably be the sort of the end of the road for ‘Peaky Blinders’ as we know it.”

He added that he would probably not be involved in any future spin-offs but that there could be “shows related” to the Peaky Blinders universe on the way.

The Peaky Blinders film looks set to enter production at some time in 2023, so it seems likely that the Shelbys could be hitting the big screen the following year.
