Good news for fans of the show, bad news for barbers everywhere.
Exciting news has emerged for Peaky Blinders fans as reports suggest that not one, but two spin-offs of the popular crime series are in the works at Netflix.
The original show stars Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby, the leader of a Birmingham crime gang, and focuses on his rise from 1919 to 1933.
Now, according to Bloomberg, the streaming giant is working on two separate spin-off series – one set in Boston during the middle of the 20th century, a couple decades after the original Peaky Blinders, while another would focus on Polly Gray, the matriarch of the criminal Shelby clan.

While the Boston spin-off of Peaky Blinders will be set after the events of the original series, the other spin-off focusing around Polly is sure to be a prequel considering the death of the character in the show as well as the sad passing of Helen McCrory, the actress who played her, in 2021.
There has been a ton of rumours surrounding the future of the series, with creator Steven Knight continuously looking towards the big screen as the next chapter of the story.
After the series ended in 2022 after six seasons, Knight said he was focusing on writing the script for a feature length movie, with Cillian Murphy hinting he would be on board to don Tommy Shelby’s cap once again, most recently in an interview with Barbie star Margot Robbie.
While the spin-offs are yet to be confirmed by Netflix, there’s no doubt that there’s plenty more story to tell in the Peaky Blinders universe and with Steven Knight well up for getting stuck in, we’re sure it will return to the screen (big or small) in some capacity.
