
Peaky Blinders star Helen McCrory dies aged 52
She died peacefully at home surrounded by friends and family.
Peaky Blinders star Helen McCrory has sadly died at the age of 52 after a battle with cancer, it has been confirmed.
The actress was best known for playing Elizabeth 'Polly' Gray in five seasons of the hit gangster drama.
She also had major roles in the shows Fearless, MotherFatherSon and Penny Dreadful and appeared in films such as Hugo, The Queen and Skyfall.
McCrory also played Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter series.
Her husband and fellow actor Damian Lewis confirmed the news in a statement which read: "I'm heartbroken to announce that after a heroic battle with cancer, the beautiful and mighty woman that is Helen McCrory has died peacefully at home, surrounded by a wave of love from friends and family.
"She died as she lived. Fearlessly. God we love her and know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. She blazed so brightly. Go now, Little One, into the air, and thank you.
