Cillian Murphy will be reprising his role as Tommy Shelby in the upcoming film.

Netflix has released the first trailer for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, the film spin-off of the hit crime drama series Peaky Blinders.

Featuring Cillian Murphy reprising his role as World War I veteran and gangster Thomas Shelby, the movie will play in select cinemas early in March 2026, before landing on the streaming giant later that month.

Check out the trailer below:

The plot synopsis for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man reads:

"Birmingham, 1940. Amidst the chaos of WWII, Tommy Shelby is driven back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet.

"With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must face his own demons, and choose whether to confront his legacy, or burn it to the ground. By order of the Peaky Blinders…"

The movie is directed by Tom Harper (who helmed several episodes of the series) from a script by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight (who also made the recent Netflix hit House of Guinness and will be penning the next Bond film).

Alongside Murphy, other returning cast members from the show include Ian Peck, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, Sophie Rundle and Stephen Graham.

Recently, we here at JOE asked Tom Hardy if his Peaky Blinders character, Alfie Solomons, would be making an appearance in The Immortal Man, but he remained tight-lipped.

Other actors, meanwhile, joining the franchise with the movie include Oscar-nominee Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin), Jay Lycurgo (Steve), Rebecca Ferguson (A House of Dynamite) and Tim Roth (Pulp Fiction).

The trailer comes not long after the BBC revealed that "two new series" set in the world of Peaky Blinders are on the way.

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man will be released in select cinemas on Friday, 6 March and on Netflix on Friday, 20 March 2026.
