PIC: Mark Hamill AKA Luke Skywalker has fallen in love with this stunning Donegal photo

Eoghan Doherty

The Force photography is strong with this one…

Unless you’ve been living under an AT-AT-sized rock for the past few days, you’ll be fully aware that the stars of Star Wars Episode VIII are currently filming in the most northerly part of Ireland, the gorgeous Malin Head.

Understandably, the place is absolutely buzzing as one of cinema’s greatest ever sagas rolls into town the single street to capture shots of the stunning scenery.

And speaking of stunning scenery, just check out these phenomenal photos by self-proclaimed Star Wars fan and Carndonagh man, John McCandless, taken at Malin Head at sunset, with the rumoured Millennium Falcon set clear to see.

Super shots.

It looks like we’re not the only ones who have been admiring John’s work, as Mark Hamill AKA Luke Skywalker himself, has now chosen John’s picture as his new official Twitter header pic, thereby exposing the photographer’s work to over a million people worldwide.

Needless to say, John was over the moon with the actor’s choice…

And Mark has even tweeted to compliment the photographer on his work…

We know how Luke can be when loves something though; let’s just hope the photo doesn’t turn out to be his sister and then makes us feel all weird and stuff when we look at it.

To check out more of John’s wonderful work, you can head over to his Facebook page by clicking here and his Twitter profile by clicking here.

Now all it needs it’s just one extra sun and we’re sorted…
