Great Scott!

When it comes to Halloween costumes, JOE is fairly unoriginal because we’re firm believers that simplicity is always the best option.

That’s why we always just take an empty sack of potatoes, cut two holes in it, and pass ourselves off as a bag of roosters around town.

You would be surprised at just how scary we can be.

This year though we are thinking of changing our potato routine and dressing up as one of the coolest movie characters of all time; the guitar playing, time travelling, own mam rejecting Marty McFly.

Michael J Fox was so cool in Back to the Future that he even managed to make stone washed jeans and a lifesaver jacket fashionably acceptable but that’s not all he did.

In Back to the Future Part II, one of the best sequels of all-time for our money, Marty gets a pair of unbelievably slick futuristic Nike shoes that instantly lace themselves up.

The good people at halloweencostumes.com have released these brilliant replicas, while not emblazoned with the original Nike logo due to copyright reasons and all that jazz, they’re still very slick.

Not only do they have LED lights that stay lit for up to 80,000 hours, no more getting lost on those dark walks home from the pub now, but they also have an an adjustable Velcro strap and a USB port to charge the lights.

No word yet on how much energy they use though, we bet it’s about 1.21 gigawatts.

Take a look.
