PIC: The Church of Scientology is not happy with this nude depiction of Tom Cruise with massive testicles (NSFW)

As if doing his own stunts wasn’t enough.

The Cory Allen Contemporary Art Gallery in St. Petersburg, Florida have commissioned an art installation that depicts the Mission: Impossible actor nude, with unnaturally engorged testicles.

The enormous Cruise shroud also features the prominent Scientologist holding the symbolic Scientology cross to his breast.

Neither Daniel Edwards, who made the original design for the shroud, nor Cory Allen, is a Scientologist, which leads us to believe that they might just be poking some fun at the enigmatic actor and his unconventional chosen faith…

We don’t know if there’s a word for when your testicles are four times the size of your penis, but on the basis of this shroud – Tom Cruise has got it.

The Church of Scientology has disavowed the work of art, claiming that “it is a publicity stunt and any claim to the contrary is false.”

We imagine Cruise’s reaction to the shroud was something more along the lines of this.

Edwards responded by stating that the shroud is an acknowledgement of Cruise’s quarter-century commitment to the Church of Scientology, and that he was requested to make the piece by a group he just assumed were connected to the Church.

Whether Edwards came up with the idea himself or was genuinely contacted by a group who were willing to pay good money for a nude shroud of Tom Cruise, did he really have to go all out on the gonads?

Hat-tip to Page Six.
