PIC: Will Ferrell popped into a Dublin restaurant for a pint of Guinness last night

Kind of a big deal

Conor Heneghan

Guinness was a good choice.

Today is kind of a big deal for comedy fans in Dublin because none other than Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are in town for the Irish premiere of Daddy’s Home this evening.

Ferrell in particular has always had something of an affinity with Ireland (he comes from good Longford stock) and is a regular visitor here and last night, he popped into Pacino’s restaurant on Suffolk Street for a meal and an obligatory pint of Guinness.

JOE reader Emer Fitzpatrick (pictured below), who works in Pacino’s, said that Will was “so gracious and friendly” and replied “what a coincidence” when she told him she had watched Step Brothers less than 24 hours before their meeting.

If Emer didn’t use this line shortly afterwards, we’ll be very disappointed.

Daddy’s Home will be released in Irish cinemas on December 26.

Cheers to Emer Fitzpatrick for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to [email protected] or find us on Facebook or Twitter
