Pics: New images from Star Wars Episode VII teased…

Star Wars fever may have encapsulated Skellig Michael in Kerry recently but the set was more impenetrable than the Death Star. Getting out alive with information was riskier than walking into a Mos Eisley bar unarmed... too many geeky references yet? However, just like R2-D2 and C-3PO, JOE has managed to escape with some valuable information. Kevin Smith has already indirectly revealed that the Stormtroopers will be making a return in Episode VII , maybe as the good guys since the Empire was destroyed at the end of Return Of The Jedi, but artist Tom Hodges has revealed what they may look like in the new film. Hodges, whose work includes Star Wars webcomics as well as artwork for DK Publishing’s You Can Draw: Star Wars, has posted a sketch to his Instagram account showing what is alleged to be the new look Stormtrooper helmet from the J.J. Abrams-directed sequel. If that wasn't enough, then how about this image of everyone's favourite character with a robot hand... no, it's not Douglas Reynholm from the I.T crowd. JOE thinks that this hand could very well belong to Luke Skywalker himself.

Elsewhere, Daisy Ridley - who is one of the leads in the new film – has been announced to appear in both Episodes VIII and IX. The final two Star Wars films in the upcoming trilogy are currently being developed by Rian Johnson. Speculation has been rampant as to which character Ridley's playing, with many pointing to her being the daughter of Carrie Fisher’s Leia and Harrison Ford’s Han Solo. Is it December 18 2015 already?
