He played a (peaky) blinder.
Soon to feature in a cinema near you in the Ron Howard blockbuster In the Heart of the Sea, a film that will round off what’s been a great 2015 for Cillian Murphy.
On the small screen, he played the lead role in Peaky Blinders, a magnificent BBC production (also on Netflix) in which he does such a convincing Brummie accent that you’d swear he goes to watch Aston Villa every week and goes on the tear with Jack Grealish afterwards.
When it came to the crunch, Murphy had just a little bit to spare over the star of Moone Boy, David Rawle, commanding a little over a third of more than 5,000 votes.
Congrats Cillian, looking forward to more of the same in 2016.
