One of the best action films of the decade is among the movies on TV tonight

This action comedy stars one of the best actors in the world and has a whopping 96% Rotten Tomatoes score.

Clint Eastwood's final Western has just been added to Prime Video but if you need more movies to watch tonight, here are the ones on TV this evening. Riders of Justice - Film4 - 9pm Our pick for tonight is this 2020 Danish action comedy which sees Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale, Hannibal) play Markus, a soldier in Afghanistan who returns home following his wife's death in a train crash. While struggling to look after his daughter (Andrea Heick Gadeberg), Markus is approached by a man named Otto (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) who was on the same train as his wife. A statistics and probability expert, Otto determines that the crash was not an accident. This leads Markus, Otto and two of Otto's fellow outcast friends (Lars Brygmann and Nicolas Bro) to seek out the people that they believe responsible for the crash. On one level, Riders of Justice is a classic vengeance movie that is led by a tough-as-nails performance by Mikkelsen and punctuated by hard-hitting action scenes. At the same time, however, it's also a deeply emotional and surprisingly funny portrait of a group of lovable if damaged people coming together to help each other with their trauma - with the film eventually going on to, with its unpredictable plot, subvert the conventions of revenge movies. Boasting a 96% Rotten Tomatoes score, Riders of Justice is also available to rent on Apple TV, Google Play, Rakuten TV and the Sky Store. The Gunman - Legend - 9pm Sean Penn leads a great cast - including Idris Elba, Javier Bardem and Mark Rylance - in this action thriller that is sadly not very good. The Outsider - HorrorXtra - 9pm Starring Craig Fairbrass, James Caan and Jason Patric, this action movie has a similar premise to Riders of Justice - a soldier seeking revenge - but also a lowly 5% Rotten Tomatoes score.

The Taking of Pelham 123 - ITV4 - 10pm Tony Scott (Man on Fire, True Romance) directs this dynamic remake of the '70s crime classic of the same name with Denzel Washington and John Travolta. Smokey and the Bandit III - Legend - 11.15pm The third, critically-panned entry in the action comedy franchise. Colombiana - Film4 - 11.20pm Zoe Saldana stars in this solid action revenge flick.
