Russell Crowe has a message for Ireland about his new movie and we fully support it

Paul Moore

He’s a nice guy.

If you’ve got a bad case of Irish sunburn due to all of this glorious weather that we’re having then we’ve got the perfect solution – actually Russell Crowe, Ryan Gosling and Shane Black have it, but we’re happy to share their message.

Crowe’s new film The Nice Guys opens in Irish cinemas this weekend and it’s bloody fantastic. Just like any film that’s scripted by the man who wrote Lethal Weapon and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Nice Guys has some fantastic one-liners, memorable scenes and jet black comedy.

In the film, Crowe and Gosling play a mismatched pair of private eyes that are investigating the apparent suicide of a fading porn star in 1970s Los Angeles.

If that plot doesn’t convince you to head to the cinema then maybe this unique pitch from the Oscar winning actor to Irish audiences might do it.

Crowe’s tweets may be a few days old, but the film has just been released and it deserves to be seen by as many people as possible. Take a look.

The Gladiator and American Gangster star even offered his Irish fans an alternative way to enjoy the movie.

After looking at the trailer below, there’s only one question that you should be asking. What time is the movie on at your nearest cinema?
